Our hats really do have the best adventures!  Thank you to Sally Arnold for sending in these images of her at work as a tour leader in West Papua. In her words “I have one of your Fantastic Hats, I bought it about 5 years ago (i think) and have worn it almost every day! (I work as a tour leader, so am outdoors all the time)” Thank you again Sally!

We have been making hats for woman for over 25 years.. only 6 years ago did we start making hats for men… and by god what we wish we’d started making these sooner!

The weather man says Saturday will be VERY sunny …EXCITEMENT galore here at the house of Neumann… of course in reality we know this could mean anything from thunder storms to heatwave! Who knows truly what the weekend will bring, except that we do have some VERY lovely hats, hats that don’t mind a bit of water and keep the sun off too.

Now that we are steering towards winter, Easter is always the turning point temperature wise here in Australia… I personally love this time of the year, I find it quite romantic, maybe it’s the light, always seems different or the crispness of the air or MAYBE it’s because I can start bringing out my felt hats and scarves on those cool sunny days? Which segues to our next piece of news….  we are very pleased to announce that Victoria will be bringing some extra things to her market days. Tradition Textiles is an Australian owned company that specializes in beautiful, ethically sourced and environmentally aware textiles. We have known the designer and owner of Tradition Textiles Debra Emmett for over 20 years and are very pleased to be stocking her beautiful scarfs along side our hats, we’re  not actually sure why we’ve not done this sooner as her designs and our hats look perfect together! So if you come this weekend expect to see some gorgeous accessories too! Have a look at their Facebook page some amazing information about the people she works with and their stories.
